NEW! As of July 12, 2001: query.cgi now returns picture URL information, faces.cgi lists all faces for imood, and update.cgi takes face id information when setting a mood.

xml scripts

• Query a user
  https://xml.imood.org/query.cgi
  This script returns the same information that the normal query script does, but it returns it in XML.

  Parameter: <email> The email address of the imood user you want to query.

  Example: https://xml.imood.org/query.cgi?email=jcn@imood.com

• Retrieve MY information
  https://xml.imood.org/my.cgi
  This script returns personal imood information for a secific user. Information returned includes: all information returned by the query script plus full buddy list information, entire imood history and the quick links list.

  Parameter: <email> Your imood email address.
  Parameter: <password> Your password.
  Parameter: <bundles> What "bundles" of information you want to get returned. This parameter is optional and defaults to "all". Options include: personal - your personal information and current mood; buddy - your buddy list and their current moods; links - your link list; history - your entire imood history; all - all of the above, this is implicit. Each bundle can be seperated by a comma or a pipe (, or |).

  Example: https://xml.imood.org/my.cgi?email=your@email.com&password=mypassword
  Example: https://xml.imood.org/my.cgi?email=your@email.com&password=mypassword&bundles=personal|buddy

• List all moods
  https://xml.imood.org/moods.cgi
  This script will return a list of all base moods supported by imood.

• List all faces
  https://xml.imood.org/faces.cgi
  This script will return a list of all faces supported by imood.

• Update MY mood
  https://xml.imood.org/update.cgi
  This script will allow anyone to update their imood from outside the imood website. It is a script that can be submitted to by a form. It will receive the parameters by a GET or a POST transaction.

  Parameter: <email> Your imood email address.
  Parameter: <password> Your password.
  Parameter: <base> Your base mood (must be from the imood list).
  Parameter: <personal> Your personal mood description.
  Parameter: <face> Your face selection id.
  Parameter: <page> The full URL of the page to load after a successful imood update. All failed attempts will display the error message in XML.
